In this personal project, I drew inspiration from the rich tapestry of cultures and histories that make up South Africa. Centered around the symbolism of the South African flag, each color representing a different aspect of the nation’s identity. Collaborating with a diverse group of local South African models, I aimed to capture the essence of:

Black: The people of South Africa

White: Harmony between natives and Europeans

Yellow/gold: Natural wealth & gold

Green: Fertility of the South African land

Red: Bloodshed and sacrifices for South Africa’s independence

Blue: Blue sky and endless opportunities
